Six people were injured, four of them fatally, in a series of robberies and stabbings in both Garden Grove and Santa Ana, authorities said.

A man has been taken into custody at Harbor Boulevard and 1st Street in Santa Ana, though his  connection to the incidents was not immediately clear.

Police said there are believed to be between eight and 10 crime scenes between Garden Grove and Santa Ana.

Four stabbing victims, including two who died, were found in Garden Grove.

In Santa Ana, a pair of stabbings happened across the street from each other.

At about 6:16 p.m., police received a call about a stabbing at a Subway at 3835 West 1st Street, said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Joe Marty.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the suspect was arrested at a 7-Eleven near Harbor and 1st after reportedly stabbing a security guard. Another stabbing took place at a Subway restaurant across the street.
