He was identified as Duc Le, 45, in the department’s release. Police described him as a homeless man known to sleep in the area where he was attacked. The motive for the assault remained unclear.

Three people have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder in connection with the attack, police said. Two were identified as Andrew Holguin, 21, of Midway City, and Christian Huerta, 19, of Huntington Beach in the department’s release. The name of the third suspect, a 16-year old boy from Westminster, was not made public.

Andrade was hiding from investigators as of Thursday evening.

“He is on the run and knows he is wanted,” department officials said in the release.

The outstanding suspect was described as a Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes by police. He stands roughly 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
