2 women killed in Westminster crash identified as Anaheim, Huntington Beach residents
Two women killed in a three-vehicle crash in Westminster were identified Sunday, Nov. 24, by the Orange County Coroner’s office.
The crash that claimed the lives of 58-year-old Eileen Sayegh of Anaheim and 56-year-old Denise Leverenz of Huntington Beach happened about 4:20 p.m. Thursday, at Beach Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue, according to Westminster police Cmdr. Alan Iwashita and the coroner’s office.
Sayegh died at the scene and was the driver of one of the vehicles, while Leverenz was a passenger in another, the coroner reported. Leverenz died at Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana.
“The drivers of the other two involved vehicles were transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation and treatment and are reported to be in stable condition,” Iwashita said.
Police temporarily shut down all southbound lanes of Beach at Hazard Avenue to investigate, Iwashita said.
