Power outage makes weekend shopping difficult for Costco customers in Yorba Linda

Customers hoping to get their weekend shopping done at Costco in Yorba Linda were surprised to find that the store was without power Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30.

The outage was first reported to Southern California Edison just past 1:10 p.m. SCE spokesman Paul Griffo said the outage was caused by failed equipment in a transformer.

Crews had not fixed the problem by 7 p.m. The Costco at 22633 Savi Ranch Road closed early because of the outage.

It wasn’t immediately known which other customers were affected by the outage.
