by in News

A 23-year-old woman was almost kidnapped while walking along the street in Stanton on Monday night, and a sketch was released of the man suspected in the attempted kidnapping.

The woman was walking near the 7000 block of Syracuse Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said a man grabbed her and tried to force her into a black sedan. She was able to escape and run away.

Authorities released a composite sketch of the man and said he was a man in his 50’s or 60’s with gray hair and black eyebrows. He was described as being about 6-feet-tall with an average-to-heavy build.

The woman told the Sheriff’s Department that the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and white shoes.
