Two carjacking suspects arrested in Brea following pursuit from Chino Hills
Brea police arrested two men suspected of a carjacking after the pair was spotted in Chino Hills on Saturday, authorities said.
Sometime Saturday afternoon, deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spotted a car that matched the description of a vehicle stolen during a carjacking in Los Angeles, said Jodi Miller, spokeswoman for the department.
After deputies tried to make a traffic stop in the area of Grand Avenue and Boys Republic Drive in Chino Hills, the suspect vehicle sped away.
The chase carried on into Brea, where Brea police officers were able to arrest both suspects, Miller said.
The pair was arrested in the area of Valencia Avenue, north of Lambert Road, according to a tweet from Brea police.
