Man hit and killed while crossing street in Orange

A man was hit and killed by a vehicle while crossing a street in Orange on Tuesday night.

The Orange Police Department said on social media at around 6:40 p.m. that the man was crossing Meats Avenue at Nordic Street when he was hit by a vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Meats Avenue was closed from Tustin Street to Canal Street. Information wasn’t immediately available when the road would be reopened.
