Man arrested on suspicion of stabbing his wife to death in San Juan Capistrano

A man was arrested Tuesday night, Jan. 14, after his wife’s body was found with multiple stab wounds in a San Juan Capistrano home, authorities said.

Deputies received multiple calls of a domestic disturbance at the residence in the 26000 block of Cedar Grove Court at about 10 p.m., said Carrie Braun, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.

There they discovered that an approximately 45-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times.

Meanwhile, deputies detained a suspect at the scene believed to be the woman’s approximately 50-year-old husband. He was taken to a hospital for treatment before being booked into jail.

Their names have not been released.

“Based on initial witness information, investigators believe there is no further threat to the community,” Braun said.
