Bicyclist dead after crash in Fullerton

A bicyclist died on Tuesday afternoon after a collision with a vehicle in Fullerton.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m., in the 1900 block of Orangethorpe Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Police said there’s no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

The identity of the person killed in the crash was not immediately available. Public release of the identity was pending the Orange County Coroner’s Office notifying the decedent’s family.

A section of Orangethorpe Avenue was closed from Brookhurst Road to Gilbert Street while police investigated the crash.
