Man killed in Anaheim hit-and-run crash
A hit-and-run collision in Anaheim left one man dead on Thursday, April 23.
The crash happened along Beach Boulevard, between Ball Road and Orange Avenue at about 8:15 p.m., Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Shane Carringer said. The victim may have been standing in the northbound lane closest to the sidewalk when he was struck and suffered serious head trauma.

The person who died was described as a man in his mid-20s, Carringer said. He was unresponsive when police arrived, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators were working to determine his identity Thursday evening. A description of the vehicle involved in the crash or the person driving it were not immediately available.
All northbound lanes of Beach Boulevard were closed in the area following the crash as police conducted an investigation. Officers were expected to remain in the area well into Thursday evening, Carringer said.
