Riverside County sheriff’s auction has bling, bingo and more
Hoping to get a deal on a 10K gold diamond ring or a gold-colored motorcycle?
Maybe you’d like to fill your home with a hoard of Ty Beanie Babies or a pile of Anime comics.
Since you probably are at home, a Roku stick that would allow you stream TV shows and movies could be a good buy. A Bible — Kings James version — could provide a different sort of comfort. Or maybe you are the collector type and have your eye on a $2 bill minted in 1953 — although on this example, Thomas Jefferson is really showing his age with lots of wrinkles.
These items and almost 200 more have been made available by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Public Administrator in an auction that concludes Sunday, April 26. Bidding has already begun. Though the auction is online-only, the items may also be viewed in person Saturday by appointment.
The auction website is bidfastandlast.com. Look for “Riverside PA Auction 1 of 2.”
The items — appliances, furniture, jewelry, coins, art, tools, stamps and even bingo markers and a rocking horse — came to the Public Administrator from the estates of people who died without heirs who could be located or in cases where the family is unable or unwilling to handle the estate.
The in-person viewing will be held Saturday at I-15 Auctions at 17272 Darwin Ave., Hesperia. Appointments — limited by the need for social distancing during the novel coronavirus pandemic — are available for between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by calling 844-824-3669.
Winning bidders can pick up their items, or if they are small, have them shipped at the buyer’s cost.
