O.C. deputies investigating robberies shoot at suspects in Burbank
BURBANK — Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department shot at robbery suspects in Burbank on Monday night, but no suspects were hit.
Deputies were looking for suspects “from recent strong-arm robberies,” and about 8:30 p.m. shot at suspects in a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Olive Avenue, near the Ventura (134) Freeway, according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
A preliminary investigation showed the suspects may have tried to strike deputies with their vehicle, prompting the shooting, Braun said.
The suspects drove away after the shooting, then crashed the car, Braun said.
Two suspects were taken to a hospital.
No deputies were injured, Braun said.
