Pedestrian dies in hospital after crash in Fountain Valley
A pedestrian struck Tuesday in a crash involving several vehicles in Fountain Valley later died in a hospital, officials said Thursday, June 25.
The collision happened Tuesday on Warner Avenue, east of Brookhurst Street, at about 11:04 p.m., Fountain Valley police said in a news release. Officers responded and located a male victim unresponsive in westbound lanes.
The injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, police said. Orange County coroner’s officials were working to confirm his identity.
The drivers of a blue Acura RDX and a gray BMW X3 involved in the crash waited for officers to arrive and cooperated with authorities, police said. Preliminary investigation suggests that other vehicles may have also been involved.
