Man dies after found floating in ocean off Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach
A 29-year-old man died Friday, Aug. 21, after being found facedown in the water 100 yards off Table Rock Beach.
Orange County Lifeguards raced into the water around 3:30 p.m. and brought the man to the beach, where they attempted to resuscitate him, said Orange County Lifeguard Chief Jason Young.

An Orange County Sheriff Department helicopter airlifted the man to Mission Hospital. He was identified as Louis Alberto Sanchez of Bloomington in San Bernardino County. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:07 p.m.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy early next week, said Carrie Braun, OCSD spokesperson.
