Read Across America events show students reading is fun
To inspire youngsters to enjoy books, schools around Orange County had a little fun with their Read Across America activities on Friday, March 2.
There were lots of Things 1 and 2 and multiple Cats in the Hat at Loma Vista Elementary School in Santa Ana. And in Garden Grove, Bryant Elementary students rolled out of bed and into pajamas for the school day.
Read Across America Day is held annually in conjunction with the birthday of Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss. Many schools invite community and business leaders into classrooms to read a favorite book to students.
