Motel room explosion in Buena Park investigated as possible drug lab
An explosion at a Buena Park motel room early Wednesday, March 6, prompted evacuations and an investigation into a possible drug lab.
The blast was reported shortly after midnight at the Motel 6, at 7051 Valley View St., according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
The hazardous-materials team responded, and Buena Park police kicked off an investigation.
When firefighters arrived, there was no fire. No one was injured in the apparent blast, the Orange County Fire Authority said.
