Vehicle struck by gunfire in possible road-rage incident in Cypress

Police were searching for a driver who fired gunshots at the vehicle of another motorist in an apparent road-rage incident in Cypress.

The victim, who was not hit by the bullets, was driving in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Valley View Street shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, March 14.

The victim turned east onto Lincoln and the suspect thought he had been cut off, Cypress police said.

The suspect, in a Dodge sedan, followed the victim until he pulled over in the 6200 block of Lincoln. The suspect fired multiple shots at the victim’s vehicle, hitting it at least once, police said.

The suspect then drove off.
