Police investigating injury shooting in Garden Grove

A 24-year-old man was injured and hospitalized after he was shot in Garden Grove on Friday night, Aug. 9, authorities said.

Garden Grove police were called to the area of Lampson Avenue and Nutwood Street about 7:35 p.m. about a shooting, police said.

At the location, they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local trauma center.

Few details were immediately available and it wasn’t known if anyone was in custody.
