CASTAIC — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Monday issued a call for information about a man who vanished in the summer of 2013, when he was 19, and whose vehicle was found in the Castaic Lake area.

Bryce Laspisa was driving from Placer County to Orange County to see his parents, but never arrived at his destination, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

He was last seen about 2 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2013, in Kern County and has not been seen or heard from since.

“The beige 2003 Toyota Highlander that Bryce was driving at the time of his disappearance was located off Lake Hughes Road in Castaic Lake’s area,” according to a sheriff’s statement.

Laspisa was described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes and a tattoo on his left arm and shoulder area. He was wearing white cargo shorts, a blue-and-white checkered shirt and white-and-red Nike shoes when he was last seen.

In September 2013, Laspisa’s family from Laguna Niguel held a vigil near Castaic Lake, where attendees prayed for his safe return.

More information is available on the FIND BRYCE LASPISA Facebook page.

Anyone with information about Laspisa was urged to call sheriff’s investigators at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS or lacrimestoppes.org.
