Aliso Viejo crash sends Orange County sheriff’s deputy to hospital
A collision involving an Orange County Sheriff’s Department motorcycle in Aliso Viejo sent one deputy to a hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The crash happened at about 3:25 p.m. near the intersection of Pacific Park Drive and Woodfield, Orange County Sheriff’s officials said in a Twitter post. A deputy riding a department motorcycle was knocked unconscious and taken to a nearby hospital. He sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and later regained consciousness.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision stayed at the scene, department officials said. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
