Orange police investigating after 2 people found dead in home

Orange police were investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found inside a home Friday afternoon, Sept. 6, authorities said.

Officers were asked to check on the conditions of residents in the 500 block of S. Devon Road just before 2:30 p.m. and discovered the bodies, police said.

The man and woman appeared to have died from gunshot wounds, and a handgun was found by investigators next to the bodies, Lt. Jennifer Amat of the Orange Police Department said.

Police did not know the circumstances that led to their deaths, and the relationship between the man and woman was not immediately released. Police said there was no danger to the public and they did not believe there were any outstanding suspects.
