Fullerton police seek witnesses in assault outside cantina that left a man with a massive head injury

FULLERTON — A man suffered a massive head injury and two other people suffered minor injuries in an assault outside a Fullerton bar early Wednesday that resulted in the arrests of four suspects; and police were looking for witnesses to the incident.

The attack occurred about 2 a.m. outside the Matador Cantina, 111 N. Harbor Blvd., police said.

The victim was responsive and speaking when police arrived, but his condition worsened, leaving him hospitalized in serious condition with a massive head injury, police said.

The two victims with minor injuries provided detectives with descriptions of four suspects who were located and arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury, police said.
