by in News

A man wanted on suspicion of domestic violence was taken into custody by a SWAT team after leading officers on a brief chase and then barricading himself in the patio area of an Anaheim apartment for about two hours.

The suspect was taken into custody about 7:55 p.m. in the area of Kodiak Street and Riverdale Avenue, near Tustin Avenue, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Shane Carringer.

His name and age were not immediately available.

A SWAT team responded to the scene with armored vehicles, one of which was used to breach the area where the man was holed up and he surrendered after flash-bang devices were used, according to Carringer and a photographer at the scene.
