3.2 magnitude earthquake centered near Brea felt in region; no damage reported
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.2 struck near Brea on Wednesday night, but no damage or injuries were reported.
The quake was reported at 7:26 p.m. and was centered less than two miles north-northeast of Brea, according to U.S. Geological Survey reports.
The watch commander at the Brea Police Department said he felt “one quick jolt,” but said no damage or injuries were immediately reported.
Though centered near Brea, dozens of residents in Orange, Fullerton, and Yorba Linda also reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS.
The geological survey collected several responses from people feeling the quake as far north as Glendale and as far south as Laguna Niguel.
