Car jumps curb and planter, bangs up a window at Anaheim house

A car jumped a curb and a planter before hitting a window at a house in Anaheim Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11, authorities said.

No one was injured in the crash, which was reported just before 1:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of Jacalene Lane, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.

Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded and found the car pushing against a window at the front of the house. The woman who lives in the house was home at the time of the crash, but was not injured, Carringer said. He described the damage as minor.

Her neighbor, a woman, was in the car when she may have confused the reverse and drive gears and panicked, leading to the crash, Carringer said.

Authorities planned to red-tag the home while the structural integrity of the building was evaluated, Carringer said.
