Family settles bridge death case out of court
“Judge ends case after city motions for dismissal.”
The family of a man who fell to his death on a city bridge settled out of court, according to court documents.
Mission Viejo resident Kellie Wolters sued Rancho Santa Margarita in April 2007, after her husband Gregory’s fatal fall off the Santa Margarita Parkway Bridge.
Orange County Superior Court Judge Sheila Fell dismissed the case on May 15 after Rancho Santa Margarita motioned for a dismissal.
Originally, the lawsuit was filed against Orange County, the California Department of Transportation and the city. Finally the Wolters case proceeded solely against the city of Rancho Santa Margarita.
