Woman fatally struck by vehicle in Newport Beach identified

A woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Newport Beach was identified Wednesday, March 18, by the Orange County coroner’s office.

The crash occurred bout 11:20 p.m. Saturday on San Joaquin Hills Road, west of Newport Ridge Drive, the coroner’s office reported. Aubrye Foote, 45, of Newport Beach resident, was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo where she died about 35 minutes later, according to the coroner’s office.

It was not immediately known if the driver was cited. The fatal accident was investigated by Newport Beach police.
