Man found dead of gunshot wounds in car parked in Santa Ana neighborhood

Police are investigating a suspected killing in a Santa Ana neighborhood after a man was found dead in a vehicle in the middle of a residential street early Monday morning.

Officers shortly before 12:30 a.m. responded to reports of an injured man in a car parked in the middle of the 500 block of South Flower Street.

The man – who suffered gunshot wounds to his upper body – was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives had not determined a motive for the killing or publicly identified any suspects. The victim’s name had not been released yet.
