Driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after crash
IRVINE The driver of a black Dodge Dakota was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing with other vehicles on the northbound I-5 freeway just north of Culver Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported to the CHP at 6:21 a.m.
According to CHP officer Zaspal, the Dodge hit a gold Toyota Tundra and sent the truck toward a white Volvo. The Dodge also hit a big rig truck.
Two occupants of the Toyota were taken to the hospital.
A SigAlert was issued at 6:44 a.m. and canceled 15 minutes later.
