2 injured as Durango strikes Jetta, flips

GARDEN GROVE Two people were injured in a crash on Magnolia Street and Orangewood Avenue, authorities said.
The crash, involving a Dodge Durango and a Volkswagen Jetta, occurred at about 6:45 a.m., said officer C.J. Whitney with the Garden Grove Police Department.
Two patients were taken to UCI Medical Center, according to MetroNet, a fire dispatcher service.
According to Whitney, three to four witnesses said the Jetta, going southbound, was crossing the intersection when the Durango, going eastbound, ran a red light.
The Durango struck the Jetta on the passenger side, flipped on its side, and skidded until it struck a traffic light on the southeast corner of the intersection, Whitney said. The Durango then flipped back onto its wheels.
Whitney said the drivers suffered minor head injuries.
