Infant killed in Pedley crash
A 3-month-old Riverside boy died last night of injuries he suffered Saturday when a car in which he was riding slammed into a power pole, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.
Ziad Abdel-Hadi was among five people in the white Nissan sedan when it crashed at 6:30 p.m. Saturday near Mission Boulevard and Pyrite Street in Pedley.
The downed utility pole knocked out power to about 250 Southern California customers. The accident also sparked a blaze in a nearby field.
The child was taken to the pediatric intensive care unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
