Woman killed in Laguna Hills crash identified
A 60-year-old woman who was killed in a Sunday crash has been identified by coroner officials as a San Diego resident.
Cheryl Louise Jordan, 60, was killed Sunday when the car she was riding in, a Cadillac, was struck from behind, authorities said.
Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department believe a 27-year-old driver may have passed out because of a medical condition before crashing behind the Cadillac.
The crash occurred at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Hon Avenue and Alicia Parkway, said Lt. Ted Boyne.
A 27-year-old male driver, who was heading eastbound on Alicia Parkway with a 4-year-old passenger, crashed into a car that was occupied by Jordan and an unidentified 58-year-old driver.
The 58-year-old man was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana to be treated for head injuries.
The 27-year-old man and 4-year-old passenger, who were inside an Acura, suffered minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, authorities said.
