4.4-magnitude earthquake felt in Riverside, Orange, San Diego counties
A preliminary 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck about 3 miles east-northeast of the southwest Riverside County community of Aguanga on Tuesday, Aug. 14, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake hit at 6:24 p.m.

The quake was felt in Temecula, Hemet, Valley Center, Winchester, Murrieta, Idyllwild, San Jacinto, Palm Springs, Escondido, Fallbrook, Rancho Mirage, Perris, Vista, San Diego, Riverside and San Clemente, among other locations, according to the zip codes of people who reported the shaking to the USGS.
