Watch “Psycho,” “Halloween” at Fox Fullerton

by in News

The historic Fox Fullerton theater is screening two frightful classics this month in honor of the season.

“Psycho,” the 1960 psychological thriller by Alfred Hitchcock, will be first up on Oct. 18.

The terror will be turned up a notch on Oct. 25 with the screening of the 1978 horror flick, “Halloween,” by John Carpenter.

A short, “Trick,” which was filmed inside the Fox Fullerton will be shown before each movie.

“The current condition of the Fox Fullerton is the perfect environment to watch a classic horror movie,” Fox Fullerton Vice-President Brian Newell said of the historic movie house that is still in the middle of a restoration. “I plan to add a few scares before each film to get everybody into the mood.”

The effort to restore the building recently received a state grant that will let it finish the restrooms and other features needed to be open full-time, but for this screening, organizers warn things are still “a bit rustic” with portable restrooms and such.

T-shirts marking the event will be sold, along with refreshments.
