Suspects in Anaheim Walmart robbery caught near Cal State Fullerton

Cal State Fullerton Police detained two suspects wanted in the robbery of an Anaheim Walmart on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Two people robbed the Walmart Supercenter at 88 E. Orangethorpe Avenue, said Anaheim Police Sgt. K. Voorhis.

A countywide alert to law enforcement helped Cal State Fullerton Police locate two suspects in a suspected getaway vehicle near the university at the intersection of East Chapman and Commonwealth Avenues at about 5:40 p.m., said CSUF Police Sgt. John Bedell.

Both individuals were initially handed over to the Anaheim Police Department before being placed into the custody of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said Voorhis.

Details regarding the identity of the robbers, what charges they may face, what was taken and other circumstances of the robbery were not immediately available from authorities.
