A hit-and-run collision in Anaheim left one person in critical condition on the evening of Monday, Oct. 22.
The preliminary investigation suggests that a motorcyclist traveling on State College Boulevard was struck by an SUV near East Viking Avenue at about 6 p.m., said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daniel Gonzalez. He said the rider was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the SUV did not stop to help the injured person or return to the site of the crash, Gonzalez said. Police were uncertain of the color of the suspect’s vehicle, but described it as a Chevrolet Suburban.
Gonzalez described the motorcyclist an adult male. Authorities did not immediately release his identity.
Northbound lanes of College Boulevard from Vermont to East Viking Avenues were closed as late as 10 p.m. as investigators looked for clues, said Gonzalez.
