Deputy collides with big rig in Stanton

STANTON – An Orange County sheriff’s deputy was taken to a hospital with minor injuries Monday, Nov. 5, after his patrol car collided with a big rig.

The deputy complained of soreness to his arms after the crash, which occurred around midnight, sheriff’s Lt. Ken Binning said.

The driver of the big rig was evaluated by paramedics at the scene. Video footage of the scene showed the patrol vehicle with damage to the front and back.

It was immediately unknown what led to the crash. The California Highway Patrol was investigating.
