Vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in Buena Park results in no injuries
Police on Tuesday investigated a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in Buena Park, but said nobody was injured.
Residents reported gunfire sometime before 2 p.m. near the intersection of La Palma and Stanton avenues, said Buena Park Police Sgt. Mike Lovchik. He said the back window of a woman’s car had been shattered by shots fired by an acquaintance who was in a separate vehicle.
Nobody was hospitalized as a result of the incident, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Tony Bommarito.
Descriptions of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle were not immediately released by authorities.
The incident prompted a SigAlert that shut down westbound lanes of La Palma Avenue from Stanton to Dale avenues as investigators were searching for clues at the site of the shooting.
Lanes were reopened at about 5:30 p.m., but investigators were still searching for clues at the crime scene, according to Lovchick.
