Multi-vehicle crash seriously injures one on Highway 74 near Lake Elsinore
LAKE ELSINORE — One person was seriously injured in a crash that involved two motorcycles, an SUV and a sedan on State Route 74 in the Santa Ana Mountains on Sunday.

The crash was reported at 2:16 p.m. just south of Tenaja Truck Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was seriously injured and was airlifted to a hospital, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
A witness told a CHP dispatcher that a motorcycle hit an SUV head on before striking multiple other vehicles, including another motorcycle.
The crash prompted lanes on State Route 74, also called Ortega Highway, to be temporarily closed at Luce Oak Store Road, Caltrans said on Twitter. Affected lanes were back open by about 4:55 p.m.

It was not immediately clear if anyone else was also injured in the crash.
