Motorcyclist killed at Brea-Fullerton border is Hesperia man

BREA — A motorcyclist killed on the 57 Freeway on the Brea-Fullerton border was publicly identified Monday.

Jeffrey Ortberg, 58, was a resident of Hesperia, the Orange County coroner’s office said.

The crash was reported at 5:42 p.m. Saturday on the northbound Orange Freeway at the eastbound 90 Highway on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Ortberg was “the operator of a motorcycle versus pickup truck,” the coroner’s office said.
