Placentia man, 23, dies in possible gang-related Anaheim shooting

ANAHEIM — A 23-year-old Placentia man was killed in what police say they believe was a gang-related shooting Tuesday night, Jan. 22.

At around 9 p.m. officers went to the area of East Park Lane and North Lawrence Avenue to investigate a report of shots fired, Anaheim Sgt. Jeff Mundy said on Wednesday.

Jose Allan Martinez was found in the alley suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Mundy said. Officers provided medical aid until paramedics arrived who pronounced him dead.

No suspects had been arrested.
