Stolen vehicle suspect rams police vehicle while evading arrest in Santa Ana
A man driving a stolen vehicle allegedly rammed a police vehicle while attempting to evade arrest in Santa Ana on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Police spotted the suspect vehicle near the 2700 block of West McFadden Avenue at 2:23 p.m., according to Santa Ana Police Sgt. Javier Aceves. A brief chase ensued.
At one point in the pursuit, the suspect intentionally drove into a police vehicle, according to Aceves. He said the motorist was arrested at about 4 p.m. on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and assaulting an officer.
The man’s identity was not immediately released.
Aceves said no officers were injured during the pursuit.
