A gunman opened fire at the famed festival in Gilroy on Sunday, killing three and injuring a dozen.

Juan Jose Diaz, a 24-year-old who joined the force two years ago, had wanted to be a cop since preschool, a family member told mourners at a vigil for the slain officer on Saturday night.
